About Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacob is a fashion designer who is best known for his luxury clothing line. He has been in the fashion industry since the late 1980s and has become one of the most influential designers of his time.
He was born in Montreal, Quebec, and went to study at Parsons School of Design. In 1987 he began designing under the name Marc Jacobs with business partner Robert Duffy. The company soon became known as Marc Jacobs International Company, Inc.
The company’s first show was held in 1986 and was a success with critics and buyers alike. The following year they opened their boutique on Madison Avenue in New York City, which they called “Marc Jacobs.”
